KNIGHTS VICTORY OVER BAY AREA RIVALS

By sactoknights.com
July 09, 2007
The Knights new Head Coach, Jorge Fernandez, lead the team to a victory weekend against Bay area rivals, Real San Jose and Salinas Valley Samba.

The Knights scored early in the 1st half on Saturday, 07/07/07, against Real San Jose.  With a beautiful assist from Marco Ramirez to a sweet shot in the goal for Scott Lucky, lucky #7, the Knights were on the move.  The Knights found the net again when Pedro Lupercio assisted to Eliot Ricks-Chambers, and he headered a nice goal into the back of the net.  In the 2nd half the Real San Jose tried feveriously to break down the Knights defense, but couldn't find an open opportunity.  The Knights held their lead, and finished with a (2-0) victory.

A well rested Knights team took the field on Sunday against the Salinas Valley Samba, and again they took the lead in scoring the 1st goal of the game.   An assist by lucky #7, Scott Lucky, gave Chris Ciampa the opportunity he needed to score his 1st goal of the season.  Before the whistle blew for the end of the 1st half, the Knights new player, Chris Wright, layed a nice goal in the back of the net, making it 2-0.  In the 2nd half the Knights held their lead, and was steadfast in not allowing the Samba's to score any goals.  Congratulations to the Knights Coaches and the team for moving the Knights back into 2nd place.    NICE WORK GUYS!

The Knights are looking forward in seeing all their fans on Sunday, July 15th at 6:00 pm, for their last game of the 2007 season.  See you all at Cosumnes River College Stadium on Sunday.

GO KNIGHTS!
